Back Together Safely

Readiness level: AMBER

This means: Section meetings can take place outdoors and indoors. No residential activities.

Maximum group size:

  • Activities involving young people: no limit on group size but remain as only one section meeting independently of others. Indoor activities will be limited by the size of the location given social distancing remains.

  • Scout Network programmed activities (non social): 15 people maximum.

  • Adult activities (non-social) with no young people present: check local government guidance

Note: Where small sections may struggle to be viable to operate independently they may join with another section at this time.

Note: The number of adults present should be limited to those who are required to be present to support the activity. It’s important to remember that we’re still in the middle of the pandemic and we all have the duty to make sure we’re following the letter and spirit of the guidance.

Note of changes coming soon: Following the recent government announcement we can confirm that England will be moving to YELLOW on Monday 17th May. The information below is provided to assist with planning.

Covid-19 Policy's
Session Information
When arriving to Face-to-face sessions please drop your child/children off at the foyer door where they will be invited into the building by a leader. We ask that parents/carers do not enter the building.
On entering the building the young person will be asked to sanitize their hands using the hand sanitizer available.
The young person will then follow the one way system in place through the meeting room into the hall.
On leaving sessions, all young people will be asked to stay where they are. We will use the fire exit in the hall to leave the building during pick-up. A leader will shout 1 young person forward at a time and hand them over to parents. This is to help maintain social distancing. Again parents/carers are not permitted to enter the building.
Session times have changed due to enhanced cleaning and covid-19 policy-
Beavers: 17:00 to 18:00
Cubs: 18:30 to 19:30
Scouts: 20:00 to 21:00
Due to Covid-19 restrictions in place and limiting the risk of transition we cannot allow parents/carers to stay during sessions.
Returning to Face-to-face sessions
Before any member can return to face-to-face sessions they must update Online Scout Manager and complete the group's Covid-19 agreement.
